2017 Resource Allocation Model funding

In October 2016, all NSW public schools will receive a 2017 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions. Focus on Independent Reading

During Semester Two, we will be running an independent reading program for all students in the morning roll marking session. As a part of this program, students will be borrowing a book from the library, or bringing a novel of their own choosing from home. A key aspect of the independent reading program is the ability for students to choose what they want to read. NEWS FLASH Desert Pea Media Productions are coming to Bourke High School. Bourke High School, with the support of The Healing Foundation and NSW Outback Division of General Practice, has secured funding for a Desert pea Media Project. In Australia in 2016, many Indigenous Australians continue to suffer huge disadvantages, both culturally and socially, as a direct consequence of our shameful history of racism and violence. Bourke High School Students Off to State

Principal's Report Welcome back to the 2016 school year. Years 7, 11, and 12 students return to school on Thursday 4th February, with Years 8, 9 and 10 returning on Friday 5th February.
